Six months on from the devastating January flood, CQUniversity will host a FREE public lecture and community forum focusing on how individuals, families, neighbourhoods and communities can all do something to help in the disaster recovery and adequately prepare for the future.

Thern Reynolds, Australia's international tap dancer will direct 4 Forty-Second Street, a story of hard work, being in the right place at the right time, talent and love.

Forty-Second Street is a celebration of Broadway and the people involved in shows. It focuses on aspiring chorus girl Peggy Sawyer, and takes us along her journey. Musical hits include You're Getting to Be a Habit with Me, Dames, I Know Now, We're In the Money, Lullaby of Broadway, Shuffle Off to Buffalo and Forty-Second Street. Every audience enjoys watching the underdog succeed!

Information Sessions are an excellent opportunity to learn more about the Australian Youth Ambassadors for Development Program. Panellists of returned volunteers and Austraining staff will be sharing their experiences and stories, as well as advice about applying and what to expect if successful.

AYAD roles (or ‘assignments’) are available in a variety of sectors including law, marketing, education, ICT, agriculture, human rights, engineering, health, finance, development, environment, media, arts and sports.

The Conservatorium Academy is a centre for creative and performing arts training for primary and secondary school children in Central Queensland.

Music Theatre classes are held at the CQCM in Mackay and jazz and popular music classes are taught at CQCM Rockhampton.

Each performance and open class showcases the work of these young people as they explore the exciting repertoire of music and theatre.

Experience a performance of short plays and dramatic excerpts, directed and performed by students of the CQUniversity Bachelor of Theatre program.
