Course details

Using ethnic and gender studies as the basis for investigation, students are introduced to the cultural, creative and contextual dynamics of Dance as an art form. The impact of these attributes will inform comparative discussion on identities associated with choreography and performance. The student will examine and should be able to contextualise how Dance has changed and responded to changing attitudes in social, political and historical events as exemplified through popular culture.
