Course details

Major games and sports retain an important place within both the Queensland primary and secondary school Physical Education curriculum. For Learning Managers, an ability to successfully teach games and sports, whether as a curriculum activity or as an extra-curricular activity is a highly desirable skill. This course examines the core understandings necessary to plan and deliver effective learning experiences in a range of games and sports. Practical engagement in games and sports are utilized to contextualize and consolidate the core concepts of the course. Personal demonstration of capability to teach and coach games and sports will be provided within in-class activities.
