Course details

This course considers the development and structure of theatre forms, with particular reference to play texts from the 17th and 18th Centuries. The course includes analysis of important textual sources and performance practice relevant to this period. Students will also study broader political, social and cultural contexts as they specifically relate to the theatrical performance practice and dramatic literature of this period.
