If you're commencing Engineering or Environmental Science at CQUniversity Australia in 2010 you could be eligible to apply for the CQUniversity Australia - Queensland Resources Council Scholarship, valued at $40,000*.
There are two scholarships on offer. Open to 2009 year 12 school leavers or 2008 year 12 school leavers who have had a gap year in 2009*, the scholarship represents an ongoing commitment by CQUniversity Australia and the Queensland Resources Council to support the educational aspirations of regional and rural school leavers who have an interest in working in the mining and energy sector and are contemplating careers in engineering or environmental science.
This scholarship opportunity includes:
- $10 000 cash payment each year for the duration of the program to a maximum of four years.
- Opportunity to join the QRC scholarship ambassador program and participate in resource sector networking events and conferences, vacation work placement assistance, media opportunities and ambassador duties at career events and online discussions.
Applications close 29 January 2010 and will be assessed by a panel and the successful candidate will be notified after census date term 1, 2010.
