Welcome to the Educational Development Team

What we do

The Educational Development Team consists of an Associate Professor, seven Educational Developers, two Multimedia e-Learning specialists and four Educational Development Officers (Desktop Publishing). The team will work in partnership with academic staff to enhance the quality of learning and teaching through the development of academic skills and enhancement of program and course curricula. The team will be managed by the Head, Educational Development who is responsible for providing high-level academic leadership to a team of educational development professionals as well as leading the further development of a culture of scholarship in learning and teaching across the University. A summary of the primary functions of the team include:

  • Designing, developing and reviewing new and existing courses, programs, assessments, learning activities and resources.
  • Coordinating and delivering cross-institutional academic development activities (e.g. teaching into FoULT and Graduate Certificate in Tertiary Education and facilitating Moodle training and other academic leadership initiatives).
  • Identifying opportunities to enhance learning and teaching initiatives and innovations that support the University's
    e-learning objectives.
  • Developing and coordinating University-wide academic professional development projects.
  • Facilitating staff and student focus groups to gain valuable feedback on learning and teaching activities.
